CHIMNEY INSPECTIONS
Level 1 and Level 2 chimney inspections.
We offer inspection levels based on the chimney system, its condition, and whether there have been changes to the appliance or venting.
LEVEL 1
Level 1 Chimney Inspection
A Level 1 inspection is generally appropriate when the chimney and venting system have not changed and there are no known performance concerns. We visually inspect the readily accessible portions of the chimney, fireplace or appliance connection, and venting system, checking basic soundness, clearances, and accessible areas for obstructions or visible deposits.
LEVEL 2
Level 2 Chimney Inspection
A Level 2 inspection includes the Level 1 inspection plus a more detailed evaluation of accessible areas of the system and a video scan of the internal flue. It is commonly recommended when a property changes ownership, when an appliance or fuel type is changed, after a chimney fire or other event that may have caused damage, or when a more detailed evaluation is needed.
